Frequently Asked Questions
What does the “ultra-slim 20mm sightline” actually mean — and why does it matter?
The sightline is the width of the aluminium where two panels meet in the middle. At just 20mm, the Cor Vision has one of the slimmest interlocks on the market, so almost the entire opening is glass rather than frame. The result is more daylight, a cleaner view, and a near-frameless look — the appeal of a sliding door done properly.
How large can the doors be made?
Each sliding panel can be made up to 2,500mm wide and 3,000mm tall, weighing up to 320kg, so you can achieve very large expanses of glass with minimal frame. Every door is made to your exact opening, so the best approach is to send your sizes through the quote form above. (Note: Cor Vision Plus, this becomes up to 4,000mm × 4,000mm per sash and up to 94% glazed surface.)
How energy-efficient and soundproof are they?
The Cor Vision is a fully thermally broken, double-glazed system achieving a Uw of around 1.3 W/m²K, with acoustic insulation up to 41dB to keep heat in and noise out. (Cor Vision Plus reaches Uw ≥ 0.9 W/m²K and up to 43dB with thicker glazing). In practice that means a warmer room and a noticeably quieter home, even with a wall of glass.
How secure is the Cor Vision door?
Every door includes multi-point locking as standard, with the option of concealed locking within the interlock. PAS24-compliant security glazing is available as an upgrade for even greater peace of mind.
What colours are available?
Three finishes can be selected directly on the quote form above: Jet Black, Anthracite Grey and Pure White. A wider range of RAL colours can also be supplied on request — including a different colour inside and out — so if you have a specific shade in mind, just mention it in your enquiry and the team will confirm what's possible.
Will there be a step or threshold to trip over?
The track can be recessed or set flush with your floor, giving a low or level threshold that's easy to walk through and suitable for wheelchair and pushchair access. We'll discuss cill and threshold options when we prepare your quote.
Do you survey, supply and install — or is it supply only?
We're predominantly a supply-only company, so most orders are supplied ready for your own installer to fit. If you'd like us to arrange professional installation, just get in touch and we'll provide a separate installation quote.
